This past weekend I kicked off my wedding season with Rick and Kate’s wedding, and I couldn’t have asked for a better couple. I grew up with Rick (his sister is one of my best friends), so it was pretty awesome for me to watch the once annoying, stubborn little brother turn into a God loving, caring, handsome young man. Ricky..I mean Rick (it’s hard to break old habits!) had dated Kate for some time and everyone was waiting for him to pop the question….needless to say, we were all excited when they set a date to be married!! I haven’t known Kate nearly as long as Rick, but let me tell you…. she is a gorgeous, fun, kind woman of God and I’m so glad she is apart of a family that I hold so dear to my heart. The week before their wedding, the weather forecast looked great, 80 degrees and sunny…but we all know how Indiana weather can be… enter rain and 50 some degrees on their wedding day. I was able to get a few images outside while it was sprinkling lightly, but the sprinkling quickly turned into rain….and to that we said, “Get the umbrellas!!” Luckily there was a covered bridge across the drive and we were able to get more pictures before we took off for the church (yes, they did ALL of their images before the ceremony, that way they could go straight to the reception with their guests! I love this type of timeline if you can’t tell). Everything went smoothly (besides the rain anyway) and from the pictures, I think you can tell everyone had a blast at the reception. I’m excited for you guys as you start your life as a married couple, may God continue to bless you. Love you guys!
